How to choose the right brassware and valves

• Standard brass vs. DZR brass: Standard brass excels in most domestic heating and waste applications. DZR (Dezincification Resistant) brass is essential in aggressive or soft water regions to stop acidic water from corroding the fitting body.

• Water vs. gas valves: Always verify valve markings before installation. Yellow-handled or ISOGAS-certified valves are specifically rated for gas lines, whereas red (hot) and blue (cold) handles indicate water distribution.

• Sizing & connection type: Ensure pipe outer diameters match the valve compression or threaded tail sizes (typically 15mm, 22mm, or 28mm) to achieve a watertight seal.
